Ayurdhama Yoga Ashram is located near old gate, in the sub-town named Sullia, in the district of Mangalore, in the state of Karnataka, in South India. This particular ashram provides different levels of meditation and yoga therapy courses for Indians and foreigners. The yoga extensive courses and its therapeutic applications are related with in depth philosophy from the ancient scriptures of Patanjali, Upanishad, Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sutras. All the courses offered here are residential course that provides basic training in the theoretical and practical aspects of meditation and yoga. The ashram is affiliated with Family and Welfare Services, under the Government of Karnataka, in South India.

The ashram indulges in largely conducting various types of research on yoga and its related application to several major and minor ailments like Diabetes, Asthma, Cancer, Hypertension, Backpain, etc. On the other hand, the facilities of this ashram has published in a successful manner more than 60 research papers in various journals related to yoga, lifestyles and health. All these courses are conducted under the personal supervision of Dr. Sonu Suvid who is the head of Ayurdhama Yoga Ashram. He holds a graduation in Ayurveda and Masters in Yoga and Meditation.

Beginner's course of Yoga and Meditation

This course starts on 1st of every month with morning session conducted between 7am to 9am and evening session between 5 pm to 6 pm. It is held 5 days in a week. It is a residential course. The medium of instruction is in English language. Those who have education qualification of 10th school certificate from India, High School diploma from USA, ‘O' Levels / GCSEs from UK, Intermediate Exam from Ireland, School Certificate from Australia are eligible for this course. Moreover, previous yoga experience is not at all essential. This course is an intensive course that requires all students to stay within the ashram during the entire schedule of the course. Students will be allowed to source external services like shopping, banking and email.

  • The course fee is 30,000/- Indian Rupees.

  • Duration of the course is one month.

Curriculum of Beginner's Course of Yoga and Meditation

  • The Unit-1 is related to "Aims and objectives of yoga". It covers topic such as Types of yoga, Yoga and diet, Raja yoga, Karma yoga, Bhakti yoga, Jnana yoga and Hatha yoga.

  • The Unit-2 is related to Yoga-Disciplined way of life and application of yoga in physical Education.

  • The Unit-3 is related to Yogic exercises such as Suryanamaskar, Advanced asanas, Asanas, Pranayama, Types of pranayama, Mudras and Bandhas.

  • The Unit-4 is related to Meditation, Concept of meditation and Benefits of meditation.

Advanced Yoga And Meditation Course

This course starts on 1st of every month with morning session conducted between 7am to 9am and evening session between 5 pm to 6 pm. The duration of this course is two months. It is held 5 days in a week. It is a residential course. The medium of instruction is in English language.

  • The course fee is 60,000/- Indian Rupees.

  • Duration of the course is two month.

Curriculum of Advanced Yoga And Meditation Course

  • The Unit-1 is related to Basic anatomy and physiology of Human body (various organs, Cells, tissues). It covers aims and objectives of yoga, types of yoga, Karma yoga, Bhakti yoga, Jnana yoga, Raja yoga, Hatha yoga, Yoga and diet, different systems of body.

  • The Unit-2 is related to application of yoga In physical Education, Yoga-Disciplined way of life, Physiological benefits of Asanas, Pranayama and types of breathing.

  • The Unit-3 is related to Yogic exercises such as Advanced asanas, basic asanas and Suryanamaskar plus Pranayama, types of pranayama. Mudras and Bandhas, Shatkarmas or kriyas and Yoga nadis.

  • The Unit -4 is related to Meditation. It covers the concept of meditation, Benefits of meditation and Shat chakras or Padmas.

Diploma Course In Yoga And Meditation

This course starts on 1st of every month with morning session conducted between 7am to 9am and evening session between 5 pm to 6 pm. The duration of this course is three months. It is held 5 days in a week. It is a residential course. The medium of instruction is in English language.

  • The course fee is 90,000/- Indian Rupees.

  • Duration of the course is three month.

Curriculum of Diploma Course in Yoga and Meditation

  • The Unit-1 is related to Basic anatomy and physiology of Human body (Cells, tissues, various organs), aims and objectives of yoga, types of yoga, Karma yoga, Bhakti yoga, Jnana yoga, Raja yoga, Hatha yoga, Yoga and diet, different systems of body, Role of yoga in Diseases, role of Asanas, Pranayama and meditation in various diseases

  • The Unit-2 is related to application of yoga in physical Education, Yoga-Disciplined way of life, Physiological benefits of Asanas and pranayama plus types of breathing.

  • The Unit-3 is related to Yogic exercises such as Suryanamaskar, Asanas, Advanced asanas, Pranayama, types of pranayama, Mudras and Bandhas, Shatkarmas or kriyas, Yoga nadis, Mind power, different states and functions of mind.

  • The Unit-4 is related to Meditation. It covers the concept of meditation, benefits of meditation, Shat chakras or Padmas, Personality development and Value education.


Food and Accommodation at Ayurdhama Ayurveda Hospital

In Ayurdhama Yoga Ashram, Accommodation or stay arrangement for the students and guests are provided as per the choice of them. The A.C rooms are charged Rs.13, 500 for a month plus Non A.C rooms are charged just 10,000 rupees for the month. There is free 24 hours internet facility plus television with all channels related to national and international program will be provided. Moreover, food arrangements are provided as per the choice of the students and guest.

The ashrams kitchen provides South Indian, North Indian or Chinese food at affordable and reasonable cost. The food is healthy and prepared in a hygienic condition. The ashram has Indian traditional styled and patterned architectural buildings. The rooms are equipped with basic furniture. The rooms are attached with shower, western and Indian toilets, mosquito net, fan, a telephone and a kettle. The staying quarters is just a walk able distance from a river. On call, you can have the appointment of a doctor or consultant for immediate treatment. You can avail the services of room assistance in case of any needs and requirement of personal nature. The ashram also takes care of your travel arrangement within the nation and abroad at an extra cost. There are services related to airport, railway station, bus stand pick and drop facilities, laundry services and other personal nature services provided for reasonable and affordable charges. Most of these services are provided on first come first serve basis in this ashram.
