Jaigad Fort is well placed in a river bay joining the Arabian Sea. It is a creek area, and this fort is built at a 200 meters high from the main lands. The entire fortification covers four acres of land terrain in this estuary. This fortress is made of granite blocks, laterite stones, lime stones, woods and Irons. The most of the foundation parts are found with sea rock debris, which are naturally found here. The stones were mined from the nearby Western Ghats hill ranges.



Mandangad Fort is a traditional fort of the 12th Century AD. It has got a very unique masonry in its structure. The construction materials used here are the granite stones and lime stones. This fortress is built on a high altitude of 1610 feet above the sea level. The fortification is done on the plain areas found on the top of this hill. A thick rampart is build around with height ranging from 10-15 meters. There are few cylindrical bastions found on its ramparts.



Prachitgad Fort is an ancient architectural marvel built in the Indian pattern of pre mediaeval times. These types of fort structures are often found with very less defensive in nature. These were built as a residential complex mainly as an alternative for palace. This fortress is uniquely located in the middle of the Mala Pass and south of Tivra Pass. The Shastri and Sonavi Rivers flows beneath these passes. There are two major walls found here as the inner and the outer walls.
