Kadile Papahareshwar Temple is located in the village named Dilawarpur, very close to Nirmal town, in the district of Adilabad, in the state of Telangana, in South India. The principal deity of this shrine is Lord Kadile Papahareshwara Swami. It is to be highly noted that Lord Papahareshwar is one of the significant forms of Lord Shiva, who is also popularly called as Kadile Papahareshwar Swami by local people. According to the local legends, it is strongly believed that this particular Lord is one of the incarnations of Lord Vishnu. It is also believed that Parashurama largely performed penance at this particular site. As per the Hindu mythology, Parashurama wholeheartedly surrendered himself to Lord Papahareshwar immediately after slaughtering his beloved mother's head in order to directly get rid of his misdeeds and sins with a lot of perfection.
